travel europe italy lazio civita di bagnoregio around the town

A little gem of a historic "hill town" perched on a singular rock.
We first visited this village on a Rick Steves recommendation and have gone back twice more.
Its charm is intensified by it limits on the top of this small pinnacle surrounded by deep canyons.
As the town grew, it spread to the adjoining ridge which is very plain in comparison.
After visiting the first time, we returned to our small town in Oregon and found that one of our friends was a joint owner in an apartment there.
Unique as it is, watch this town as investors start to put more and more money into it.
